O Banco de Brasília (BRB) oferece gratuitamente cursos e palestras de educação financeira, com dicas de como sair do endividamento, como planejar gastos pessoais ou quais as opções existentes de investimento. Os eventos podem ser agendados e feitos em lugares escolhidos pelos interessados. Há ainda a opção de assistir às capacitações na Capelania Militar Evangélica ou, no caso de servidores do Distrito Federal, na Escola de Governo.

Para marcar, deve-se enviar um e-mail – com data do agendamento, nome dos participantes e local que receberá o evento – ao educafinan@brb.com.br. As palestras, com duração de duas horas, precisam ter público de pelo menos 30 pessoas. Os cursos são organizados para turmas de no mínimo dez alunos e têm carga horária de nove horas.

A iniciativa existe desde 2012. Ao todo, o BRB já ministrou cerca de 700 eventos sobre educação financeira, atingindo a marca de 20 mil pessoas atendidas, entre servidores públicos, estudantes e funcionários de empresas privadas. Apenas nos últimos dois meses, 500 pessoas participaram das capacitações.

As aulas ficam a cargo de servidores do banco, selecionados e treinados para integrar o projeto. Todos os alunos recebem um certificado. A próxima iniciativa acontece nos dias 1º e 2 de junho, na Escola de Governo. Na Capelania Militar Evangélica, nos dias 14 e 15 de junho.
